Synopsis
This course will expose the students to the fundamentals of telecommunication and networking. It will cover fundamentals of data communication, telecommunication facilities and network topology. Students will be introduced to the Internet technology and its application such as sharing and transferring of data, search engine, Internet phone, videophone, desktop conferencing, LISTSERV, Electronic Bulletin Boards, and WWW. At the end of the course students should be able to demonstrate their understanding by using Internet applications in teaching and learning and also should be able to develop simple web pages.
