The aim of this course is to develop an understanding of more complex construction methods and systems. It will examine specialised construction techniques and practices employed in civil engineering projects or complex construction projects. The course will provide students with skills to allow the evaluation of a range of technologies towards the adoption of an appropriate design decision and knowledge of the centrality of technological decision making in the context of the wider construction process. The course also provides the platform to develop students’ communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member to achieve mutual objective.
